Divus Augustus, died AD 14. As (Copper, 29 mm, 11.59 g, 7 h), Rome, struck under Tiberius, circa 22/3-30. DIVVS•AVGVSTVS•PATER Radiate head of Divus Augustus to left. Rev. PROVIDENT / S - C Square altar with two doors and two horns left and right on top. BMC 146. CBN 131. Cohen 228. RIC 81. A beautiful coin with a lovely brown patina and a very sharp and attractive portrait. The reverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, extremely fine.
